Adriana lezcanos Presentation reflection Blog 1

This past week we were all assigned a project to do. We were put into three separate groups and had to make a PowerPoint presentation. At first, I saw this project like any other, just an assignment I have to do for a grade. But after doing my own presentation and listening to my fellow classmates present, I realized that this is more than just a project. Not only am I extremely passionate about the topics that were spoken about in class, but they are important to me. For example, Group 1s presentation touched on the topics of race, ethnicity, and sexuality. I really do feel that they did an amazing job in presenting and educating the class on these topics. In their presentation they taught us the differences between race and ethnicity. There is a lot of people out there that’s don’t know the difference or just choose to believe that they both are the same thing. This group made it easy to understand for anyone who might have been confused on the topic. I think it's very important for people to educate themself on the topic of ethnicity and race because now a days a lot of people get discriminated against because of these things. It shouldn’t matter where you're from or what skin tone you are, we are all human therefore we should all be treated equally. Overall, this group did a phenomenal job! Group 2 spoke about the importance of group communication. Like group 1 they did an excellent job in explaining their topic. We are always going to be put into group situations whether that be in school, work, or just any environment that causes us to work together. Learning to work together as a team and communicate properly with each other prevents potential conflicts between group members. For me personally this presentation gave me a better understanding on how a group environment should interact. Last but not least group 3, my group. Our presentation was on the topic of leadership. In my opinion I think everyone did a pretty good job on the PowerPoint presentation. Everyone in our group was in charge of their own slides and I must say they all did great when it came to elaborating on the topic. Everyone had their own unique way of presenting the topic which I believe made the presentation so much better. We also included a short video which I believe helped my fellow classmates understand the topic more. Overall, all three groups did and amazing job explaining and presenting their presentations, considering it was our first group project.

 This weeks project was honestly very interesting and fun for me to do . I enjoyed listening to all the presentations my classmates presented. Like always they where very informative and entertaining. All the groups did an amazing job in neatly putting together they're presentations and of course presenting them. You can tell that they all did a lot of research on their topics and put their full effort into them . Each group was assigned their own topic which they had to incorporate into the chapters they were given. Group 1s topic was on  l aw and order protest and rallies and education . I personally think they did a phenomenal  job on the research aspect of this project. You can tell by the way they were presenting they were really well informed on their topics.        Every group did a good job at presenting how racial problems divide and affect us during this horrible pandemic. The groups got assigned the topics of history of law and order, health care and immigration, and racial divides in America. Talking about these issues will help us understand what's going on in the country and help us come together in these times. Group 1 did a good job at explaining the history of law and order. The talked about court cases and how law and order has changed throughout the years. Group 1 also mentioned how corrupt the system was back then and how many racist laws were used to keep minorities down especially black people. They also talked about rallies and protests that are going on right now and how it is affected by law and order.
